Radhika Unnithan

Radhika Unnithan was trained under Dr. Yamini Krishnamurti, who is one of the greatest exponents of Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi styles of Indian Classical Dance.  

 

Radhika Reminisces... 

"The First time I saw her perform, I was totally mesmerized by her dance and decided that I would pursue the art myself .  So, I started taking dance lessons at the age of 6.  Training under Smt. Yamini and watching her perform, I came to realize that in order to bring fulfillment to the dance, I needed to develop an artistic value for it and gave it my very best."

Radhika started her Dance school Nrityam, with a commitment to pass on her cultural legacy to those who will cherish it. She has been teaching this traditional South Indian dance form for over 25 years.

Radhika has given several performances both in India and in the USA. She is also a clinical psychologist.
